Module: DESIGN COMMUNICATION (ARC62404)

Credit Hours: 4

Tutors: Filzani Illia

Shahrianne Mohd Shah

Carrol Lee

Module Briefing: The module introduces fundamental skills for the appropriate communication of architectural design. It engages different means of visualization and expression of space and spatial ideas through architectural drawings to prepare students with the skills required in design projects. These skills are taught through a series of freehand and constructed drawing held both outdoors and in the studio. The teaching and learning approach for the module will be lecture and tutorial based, with students engaging with blended learning experience during the lecture and tutorial session.

Personal Reflection: This module was easily the most fun one out of all the modules I have taken at Taylor's. Although most of my work was rushed and under severe time constrictions, I learned many lessons from this module, and not just about architecture. Very engaging and entertaining yet educational module.

I personally didn't mind this module being online as TIMES website was utilized perfectly by the tutors to ensure the smoothness of the learning process, and tutorials overall were really helpful. Tutors overall are very cooperative, responsive and are always ready to assist, especially Ms. Filzani.
